Whitepaper

My role

Designed and artworked a print and digital whitepaper for Cancom, balancing brand guidelines with creative freedom across layout, typography, image direction and editorial detail.

Project Overview

I was commissioned to design and artwork a whitepaper for Cancom, intended for both digital and print release. The document needed to reflect the brand’s professional, tech-forward identity while remaining accessible and engaging for a broad B2B audience. While I worked within Cancom’s established brand guidelines, I was given creative freedom to interpret and apply them thoughtfully throughout the layout.

Design & Layout

The project involved developing a clean, readable typographic system that worked across multiple devices and formats. I selected and applied brand-approved typefaces to establish a clear hierarchy, allowing for effortless navigation across headlines, body copy, subheads, and infographics. Layouts were developed to feel balanced and fluid, giving the whitepaper a sense of pace and rhythm.

Visual cohesion was a key priority. I directed the use of supporting imagery—selecting and refining photography to complement the content without overwhelming it. Pull quotes and callouts were chosen and styled to emphasise key takeaways, creating visual break points that enhanced readability and reinforced the narrative flow.

Client Collaboration & Delivery

Throughout the project, I worked closely with the client, reviewing content iterations and refining layouts to meet both practical needs and creative expectations. This included fine-tuning copy setting, ensuring legibility in both print and screen formats, and advising on the presentation of technical diagrams or stats.

After several rounds of collaborative feedback, the final version was signed off and delivered in optimised formats for both digital distribution and professional print production. The result was a polished, on-brand document that delivered complex information in a visually confident and accessible format.
